Question about my 4 yr olds hair. Serious answers only pls!!!?

I am hispanic with very curly hair and my husband is african american. And our little girl came out with very thick semi wavy hair. It is hard to comb and style. I don't know how to braid well but I can cornroll the back But not the front LOL. My questions are how long should I wait before giving her a childrens relaxer. Nothing to strong but just to make it easier for me to comb through. Also which brand would be best. I have noticed that she gets little bumps around her hair line I assume from the ponytails being to tight how do I get rid of them or do they go away on its own.

I wash and grease her scalp once a week. I use good stuff on her hair. Shampoos and conditioners for her texter, but it seems like nothing I do is showing any progress.

I took her to a salon once for her birthday and they burned her while pressing it and she does not want to go back now.

Please help me manage my little ones hair. Thank you in advance.

Pleeeeaaase don't give her a relaxer!!!! Let it go, youll just have to deal with it fora a little. The bumps are probalbly from the grease u are using, just wash her edges. When she gets older, it will flatten out a little. meet some black ffreinds and have them braid it. I'm 17 and i braid all of my mixed friends siblings. Relaxers will permanaty damage her hair. If shell let u, u can straighten her hair. hot comb on the stove or flat iron will work, if u use low temperature, she won;t be afraid. Good luck

I am also mixed and I have extrememly curly hair. I actually wouldn't advise getting her hair relaxed at a young age. I did it when I was in middle school and I wasn't happy. It didn't really help and it made my hair unhealthy. One thing I would like to suggest to you to make it easier to comb through her hair is the Johnson and Johnson detangle spray. You can usually purchase it an any store that sells hair products or even drug stores. It works really well and it makes the combing process go a lot smoother. I would give it a try before relaxing her hair. I attached a link below.

my mom says always that it's better to wait for a child to get her first period before relaxing her hair... i will recomment u to wait a while before relaxing.

u can keep cornroll or u can breed her also.

and if u really to relax her hair us Beautiful beginning ..

you shouldn't give her a relaxer, this could damage her hair, even if it is a childrens one!!

also, my neice is half black and half maritian, so her hair sounds alot like your daughter's. i think her mom uses a product called soft n free and i know (my hair is super curly too) that wet curly hair is much easier to comb than it is dry, so you could try that. also at night wet her hair, braid/twist it in single braids/twists (not cornrows). then in the morning take it down and it might be more manageable. hope this helps!
