like besides the center/side part...or like the half pony tail...where you put liike about 2-3 inches of hair straight back secured with a rubberband or something at the end and the rest just down...or umm where you have braids near the crown of your head and the rest of the hair is straight down..thanks!

loads of things!!! you could curl, straighten,use barettes (if not too tacky) tiny braids spaced evenly over the down hair, turn your half ponytail into a half messy bun (take the ponytail part and twist into a bun leavin the other hair down), 2 medium sized braids in the front and take them around your head and join them together in the back. basically be creative.
